Specimen Requirements
Specimen Type: Serum
Container/Tube: Gold top or Red top
Specimen Volume: 4 ml serum (2 full tubes)
Specimen Minimum Volume: 2 mL serum
Collection Instructions: Allow time for specimen to clot. Spin down within 2 hours of collection.
Specimen Rejection:
1. Grossly hemolyzed or lipemic samples will be rejected.
2. Repeatedly freezing and thawing samples can cause analyte deterioration. Thaw only once.
