Evaluating patients with signs and symptoms of a connective tissue disease when the ANA test is positive. Scl-70 antibodies are characteristic and specific for scleroderma with a frequency of up to 70%.

Specimen Rejection:
1. Grossly hemolyzed or lipemic samples will be rejected.
2. Repeatedly freezing and thawing samples can cause analyte deterioration. Thaw only once.
