Acceptable: Entire collection

Collection Instructions:
- Collect a 24-hour urine specimen.
- Starting and ending times of collection are required.
- No preservative. Refrigerate specimen during collection.
- Mix well before taking aliquot.
- Centrifuge specimen before analysis.
- Follow special collection instructions below.

Additional Information
- X-ray contrast media may interfere with testing. Samples should be collected before fluorescein is given or at least 24 hours later.
- Levodopa, methyldopa and Na2‑cefoxitin cause artificially high total protein results and calcium dobesilate causes artificially low protein results at the therapeutic drug level.
- Non-centrifuged samples may produce elevated results.
