Evaluating patients with signs and symptoms of a connective tissue disease in whom the test for antinuclear antibodies is positive. SS-A/Ro antibodies are useful in the clinical diagnosis of SLE and Sjögren’s syndrome.

1. Grossly hemolyzed or lipemic samples will be rejected.
2. Repeatedly freezing and thawing samples can cause analyte deterioration. Thaw only once.
