Test Code LAB1888 Flow Cytometry, Other

Profile Information

Testing Options Useful For
Platelet Antibodies Differentiating thrombocytopenia of immune origin from non-immune origin by detecting IgG and/or IgM antibodies to platelets
PNH Diagnosing Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria and monitoring the response to therapy
Reticulated Platelet Differentiating between thrombocytopenic patients with normal or increased megakarypoiesis (such as ITP) and those patients with decreased megakarypoiesis (such as malignancy)
Stem Cell Enumeration (CD34+) Providing an estimate of the number of stem cells capable of repopulating the hematopoietic compartment following high dose chemotherapy
Thrombocytopenia Profile (Platelet Antibody & Reticulated Platelet) An aid in determining the origin of thrombocytopenia (immune, ITP, malignancy)
