Specimen Type: Serum or Plasma
Container/Tube: Red top, gold top, dark green top (sodium heparin), light green top (lithium heparin), or lavender top (EDTA plasma)
Specimen Volume: 1 mL
Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL

Collection Instructions:

1. Spin down within 2 hours of draw and remove serum from cells.

2. If there is a delay in transport of >8 hours, refrigerate specimen, and send specimen refrigerated.
